Twitter login: error when saving language

when logged in with twitter saving new language results in:
page url:http://example.com//settings
showing:
Error: invalid connection type on MAIL5->send() in /path/to/public_html/db/library/dbscript/_functions.php on line 1003
language get saved though and will display when returning to settings. editing by language does seem to work without error when saving. this need some more testing. this was preseded by importing a previously created language file
