Open ID Registration doesn't work - alternative

First of all: sorry for my bad Englisch.
Im interested in making a microblogging service - for private use. So I installed this fantastic open source programme. Okay it's running but the OpenID Login/Register doesn't work:

Now, can i change the registration into a registration on the side like in this system? Living in Germany its not common to use OpenID-Tools

in your file app/config/config.yml
you can change the "authentication" setting
right now it is like this
authentication: email
you can change it like this
authentication: password
