Feature Request: Set Photo-size in admin-menu

Reported by Johannes Schirge | July 7th, 2009 @ 08:55 AM | in 0.6

Brian is there a way the set a default size for photos posted so there's no scrolling to view the whole photo and so you can see the entire words that were posted, the photos seem to get cut out with the post.

Thanks

    Hi Chris,

I'm working on a background-image-uploader, should be done sometime this week.

Thanks for asking about the photo/mp3/video uploader, as you can see it's pretty underdeveloped.

What I was going to do is make an Admin control for max_pixel_width so the site administrator could set the size to 400 or 500 pixels, and then when you post an image, it would crop it to that dimension. Does that sound good?

Let me know if you have any other ideas about how it should work.

Thanks for your help with developing OpenMicroBlogger.

Another idea would be to allow html embed in the post or at least be able to embed youtube videos and again with a fixed width so no scroll in the post

Maybe adding only a small picture to posts and allow users to click on the images and get a big-size view?

    Something like this: http://stickmanlabs.com/lightwindow/

That sounds like a good Idea

Adding size of front-page-image is now working.

But if you click on the image you go to single-post view and on P2-Theme the sidebar overlaps the image.

Adding tags to uploaded file would be great, too :)
